But let us first tell you who we are! Chances are you haven’t heard of us before. But when you finish reading this, you’ll be glad you finally did. We are a group of senior medical residents with massive combined experience with Objective Structured Clinical Examination or Objective Standardized Clinical Examination (OSCEs). Without exception, we all passed our Clinical Skills Assessment Medical OSCE Exams with high scores just because of the system that we will tell you about here!

When we started our clinical rotation in medical school, we left by our own to learn clinical skills. When we make mistakes, we'll always be able to go back and check with the patient or reexamine. The patient was like a mountain that we have find out our path to climb to reach the dome, that is the diagnosis. We were, and still are, afraid of missing something that will lead to harm the patient or upset him, or make him complain to our attendant affecting our assessment, or even sue us. Most of the time, patients were supportive. Well, they know we are just medical students or junior residents trying to learn. Besides, we avoided challenging patients. But this is not the case in real life medical encounters. We haven't enough time to have a relaxed interview pace or even to recheck with the patient. When we were preparing for our Clinical Skills Assessment Medical OSCE Exam, we, just like you, had spent weeks looking for that “Clinical Skills Assessment Medical OSCE Exam magic approach” that could allow us to finally master a thorough and yet time efficient clinical and communication skills approach.

Clinical Skills Assessments, usmle step 2 cs preparation, LMCC MCCQE II, PLAB 2 Exam, Medical Students resources, Medical School Exams, International medical graduates, Foreign medical graduates, USMLE review, USMLE Step 2 secrets, Objective Structured Clinical Examination, usmle books, OSCE Exam, OSCEs, Australian clinical examination, NZREX, clinical examination, USMLE Step

Combined, we virtually attended all available Clinical Skills preparation courses, bought and studied all available preparation books. We listened to every ‘Clinical Skills Assessment Medical OSCE Exam Expert’ who offered advice. We spent so much time practicing. But NOTHING WORKED as we hoped! That is to be thorough, organized, and time efficient at the same time and off course good communicators!

Then, four years ago, on a brilliantly sunny day in October, while we met at the central library with some Medical OSCE examiners, we discovered the COLD HARD TRUTH about why each of us couldn’t reach any significant level of confidence in how thorough and quick is his/her Clinical Skills Assessment Medical OSCE Exam Clinical Skills approach!

Hello:

I bought this ebook from you last night, it is amazing... I could not stop reading that book.... I am taking one preparatory class for QE2 in Toronto... now I feel that if I had this book before I would not need to go for that class... this book is the best book for preparing for OSCE....

Shahnaz Parveen, March, 2006, Toronto

Thank you very much for sending me the ebooks which I have been able to download and you have regained my faith in internet purchases. In exchange I can only recommend your course to students.

The TRUTH about OSCE Exams that we discovered is that our scattered OSCE Exam preparation information, notes, questions, and tips, NEED TO BE gathered in ONE medically thorough, organized, workable, and time efficient step by step  SYSTEMATIC APPROACH flowcharts that integrates BOTH clinical skills and communication skills that any of us can study and practice ONCE for any patient scenario and for ALL our coming OSCE Exams as well as our FUTURE real life medical practice with real patients! An approach that get us high scores now, and patient satisfaction avoiding complaints and law suits later.!

Those OSCE Examiners told us that all OSCE Exam stations' formats are essentially the same in all OSCE exams. Doesn't matter whether it is Medical School Students OSCEs, USMLE Step 2 CS, LMCC MCCQE IIPLAB part 2MRCGP CSA,  TRAS 2,  AMC Clinical,  NZREX, or Clinical Skills Assessment of Foreign / International Medical Graduates. The differences are the time allocated to the OSCE stations, the actual presence of the OSCE Examiner during the OSCE station, and the depth of needed medical knowledge, that is the OSCE Exam checklists!

They also told us that the OSCE station's stem question is just to direct the OSCE Exam candidate to what system he should focus on giving the limited available time but not meant to omit the differentials and hidden issues. Checklists approach won't get you a high score!

So What Did We Do?

We gathered all the necessary information needed to be asked for every disease. Then we:

  • Arranged them in question boxes based on symptom complaints.

  • Wrote/gathered specific questions for each needed info.

  • Checked the medical, ethical, and communication correctness of each question with experts.

  • Determined the differentials for each symptom and merged the necessary questions within the boxes.

  • Arranged the questions within each box in a time efficient flowchart sequence that assures patient cooperation and prevent them from interrupting the medical interview flow.

  • We subdivided each box into a main screening box and detailed sub-boxes to be explored only if the patient reply was related.

So, In a real OSCE, as well as a medical interview, we'll start with the main first question box and follow through expanding into sub-boxes as needed and the back to the main box. Then, according to the station, move to the next box and so on. It took us about three months to perfect the system.

For the physical exam, we:

  • Arranged the needed exams to be done in a time efficient sequence that minimize patient discomfort.

  • Wrote phrases to ask the patient to perform a test or move in a clear, ethical and communicationally correct manner that prevents patient interruptions to the exam flow.

  • Wrote explaining phrases to say to the patient while performing the steps to keep them informed.

We did the same for counseling stations.

If we could give you an effective Clinical Skills strategy that would “outperform” the medical interview approach you are currently using, would you be interested?

Let us explain...

You didn't figure out how to drive by yourself! .. Yes?!.. In stead, you started with some one who knows how to drive well and learned from him/her those specific driving steps, short cuts, and valuable secrets that you now use them automatically unconsciously every day!

In your preparation to your OSCE exam, don't you realize that it is noticeably logical to take the same approach to shape up your communication and clinical skills?!

When you got your driving lessons, your instructor asked you to follow specific steps and perform specific procedures in a specific sequence,... right?!.. That's because these specific steps and its sequence have proved to be the most QUICK, logical, and safe practices. By strictly following these steps, you can insure your safety, the safety of other road users, and, of course, passing successfully the driving license test!.

In OSCE exams, and subsequently in your real life medical encounters with real patients, OSCE examiners want you to be organized by following specific steps in specific medically and ethically correct sequence in order to be considered a thorough, efficient and safe physician.

That is a healthy approach and we sincerely encourage you to do the same in your Clinical Skills Assessment Medical OSCE exam preparation! Find out the specific steps and the specific sequence! That was the approach that we took!... We sat together. Developed a step by step system. Verified it with our staff physicians. Memorized it. Practiced it. Modified and improved it over and over with the help of our mentors, faculty, and friends. It took OVER ONE YEAR of effort of we don't know how many medical students, residents, and graduates to develop this advanced system! It was kind of an open project.

Finally, we were satisfied that we had created the best and the most comprehensive system of managing Clinical Skills Assessment Medical OSCE Exam stations and real life medical patient interviews possible and ready to start using it.

Clinical Skills Assessments, usmle step 2 cs preparation, LMCC MCCQE II, PLAB 2 Exam, Medical Students resources, Medical School Exams, International medical graduates, Foreign medical graduates, USMLE review, USMLE Step 2 secrets, Objective Structured Clinical Examination, usmle books, OSCE Exam, OSCEs, Australian clinical examination, NZREX, clinical examination, USMLE Step

And, was our approach ever a hit?!..

Ø      As each one in our group has his or her own contacts with other medical students, graduates and residents, the system started to spread rapidly!..

Ø      More and more medical students, graduates and residents started to contact us to send them a copy!

Ø      They loved our Step By Step systematic approach!

Ø      They loved the straight forward simple yet comprehensive questions system that manages any medical OSCE station or encounter!

Ø      They loved how we organized the questions to be asked easily in an autopilot mode!

Ø      They loved that the verbal communications skills are covered unconsciously!

Ø      They loved that the system prevents the patient from surprises us with arguments!

Ø      We received comments like “That’s awesome,…. Now, I feel confident,…. You guys really found the secrets!…. It saves a lot of time!….”

Many felt the increased confidence in their clinical skills and communication skills in less than a month!

Clinical Skills Assessments, usmle step 2 cs preparation, LMCC MCCQE II, PLAB 2 Exam, Medical Students resources, Medical School Exams, International medical graduates, Foreign medical graduates, USMLE review, USMLE Step 2 secrets, Objective Structured Clinical Examination, usmle books, OSCE Exam, OSCEs, Australian clinical examination, NZREX, clinical examination, USMLE Step 2.

Once we realized just how efficient it is to follow this systematic approach and saw how popular our Step By Step Guide became with other medical students, graduates and residents achieving high scores. We knew we’d be crazy not to make this system available to everyone who wants to master the clinical skills and pass the Clinical Skills Assessment Medical OSCE Exams.
